Stripped Screw

Ok, I was trying to swap out my TC2824 with a ETA 2824 h-4. While trying to remove the movement ring screws that go into the case. I stripped the screw! I know how to use a jewelers screw driver(at least I thought I did) and use a good one, lol. I have removed many watch screws and have never stripped one(I have lost a few though). Luckily the shavings were visible and easy to keep out of the movement. Watch still functions perfectly and no real reason to swap movements other then my OCD but I don't want to leave it this way. Anyone have a recommendation as how to get it out?

The TC movement ring screws are reverse screws, you know this right?

You screw them clockwise to lower then into the movement ring, thus releasing the movement, and to tighten the movement to the case, you unscrew them, thus clamping the movement/ring to the case.

Yup, I know that.....NOW! Now I feel like an idiot. I do remember reading something about that now that you mention it. Is that just on a TC case, or on all gen construction cases?
Thanks for teaching me something.

Well, they are not reverse threaded. Still lefty loosey righty tighty, you just do the opposite of what you think you would do to remove the movement. Tighten the screws to remove the movement...

This is going to sound funny but it worked for me.
I had a stripped screw in a movement once and and took a drop of super glue placed on the scew head and glued the screw driver to it....came right out.

No, that's a great idea! I think I can get it out now, I loosened up the movement so I can get it out now but stopped and put the case back on. I'm not going any further I till I source new screws. Anyone know where to get a few?
