how to spot a non genuine 100% leather strap?
iv bought pams a lot..and a lot came with deployant buckle and 'leather' strap.and browsing ioffer searching 'panerai straps' or 'ferrari leather straps'..makes me wonder whether for the price e.g 40 bux is it 100 genuine leather?and how long will these straps last anyway!?

If the underside of the strap looks like white plastic,, it's a rep. If you find it on iOffer or fleabay.. it's a rep.. if you look carefully on some gen boards,, chances (I said chances) are that it's a gen..

And if you buy from the strapmakers on this forum, it is definitely leather!

99% of the straps you are going to find on fleabay or ioffer are going to be like the ones in the link.

If price is what is driving you to look at these options, then may I suggest panatime.com. He has a great selection and not bad pricing either, not to mention unparalleled customer service.

If you are looking for a genuine OEM looking strap, then go to risti and peruse the accessories section there. You still have to be careful, but you can usually find an OEM strap on the cheap.

Alternatively, you can get a custom strap made. Savage, Hktan or I can make you a strap that is 100% leather.

May I ask, what is the reason you were looking on ioffer for straps? Was it price? Or going for OEM? Etc?

well price is one thing,but primarily i just wanted to find out about these reps straps.man the replica world sometimes can be so snakey,they can trick us so easily sigh
