since pams are so famous with changing straps, just wondering, would you rather spend say 200$ on a rep, or 1 or two lovely straps? i know straps can be addictive, but how do you draw the line?

It's been said before, but a strap can do a lot to change the look of a watch. Even the thread color on the same leather can change the look of the watch and strap. There are number of strap makers which make very nice straps under $100 (ahem, tooting my own horn a bit). If you really like the PAM you have it's almost like getting another watch by putting a new strap on it. Most of your base type models, 111, 005, etc will accomplish this.
If there is interest, I could do a series of pictures showing what I mean.
