Has anyone bought one of these? I did a search but didn't get masses of results. How do they compare to Greg Stevens, Mario Paci and GeF?

I was thinking of getting a legend in black hxxp://www.strapculture.com/legendlp/sclgl920.html for a PVD mm20 I have on the way, though they sadly don't do a 26mm pvd buckle so I would have to go brushed. I would also like to check these are two piece folded laminates as any more looks dodgy.

Many Thanks

Is patina possible on these straps? I looked through all of them, but they all seem too gloosy or too vintage.

Very nice looking straps-

I have found that they wear very poorly- and the leather does not have that rich, buttery feel thatthe better MP's and Gregg Stevens do-

But still excellent values for the money and I love the SC buckles.

Yeah, it's hard to tell from the pics as they are under artificial light but they look like grain corrected leather (leather that has had its surface altered to remove unwanted blemishes and scars). That's why I posted. And I hate all that pre-distressed stuff (not just by strapculture), looks nothing like worn and patinated leather. But then again the same goes for anything else pre-aged - jeans, shoes, furniture etc.

Good price point and quirky buckles though.

In terms of comfort you mean?

Comfort and durability-

They do not have that buttery soft feel so i find they just don't feel as good on the wrist-

As they age and wear they don't seem to- at least the 5 or 6 I have- to get that nice broken-in patina- they just sort of get worn looking- but not in the manner I was expecting- Maybe I just bought the wrong versions but with 40+ straps there are some I like and some I don't.

For me the GeF LaSpezia is the best strap I've used for 44mm Pams.

I've purchased a couple of straps from Seth and I like what I recieved. As others have already stated they are not buttery soft, but they are nice and thick.

I never seem to warm up to the SC straps. The quality of the leather by the look of them isn't very good. A little too artificial to me.

Their buckles look awesome though.

I have a Legend strap and get nothing but compliments on it.

I decided to give simona a whirl, as I want black and her vintage black looks lightly tanned and will hopefully patinate brownish. Too many black straps look like shoe leather, all coated and too dense. Her vintage tan looks the bomb, so if the the black passes muster I think this will be my next strap. I will report when the strap shows up.

It's for a PVD mm20 though and I am not sure I can bring myself to cut her tasty looking Gpf buckle off and replace it with a PVD one.

Any ideas?
