Strap Recommendations for Davidsen PVD

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my PVD from Davidsen. I have a Europelli black Cordovan waiting for that stealth look. But at the same time I want a strap that isn't black but that will take the PVD buckle. Other than a PAV for really big bucks, any recommendations?

Officine Firenze Linea 3 Distressed Brown 24/22 125/80

That's a pretty good match. It's still your own taste though.

Yes davidsons PVD buckle is 24mm..........got mine today!!!!!

as to a good strap, i have asked Elazarus if he can do me a tan toscana strap but with BLACK stitching i think this will look great with the PVD watch and PVD buckle that davidsen supplies

or u can try the Toscana cognac color, IMHO I think cognac color is the best color to match with PVD. The name is here copied from tcstraps website.

TC Toscana Siena Flesibile Cuoio in Cognac with sewn in buckle...the softest strap in the world

.....and it is a 24/24

I have two of these, great leather, but most people here might balk at the buckles. They are not PVD but elctrostat painted base metal. They will scratch fairly easy and the only good thing is they are brass or bronze instead of stainless. Meaning you can gunblue them after they scratch up.

Hi enzo, the leather is extremely soft and suprisingly, buckles when strapped over a long period of time do not leave a visible mark.

The buckles are more suited for the "conventional" PVD that are supplied by dealers. I reckon the best buckle would be Elliot's range of DLC/PVD buckles at tcstraps.com.

Bought a couple of buckles from this guy. http://www.panatime.com
Not sure of the Pvd finish but the price was good. Pretty much matched the Davisens color of matte black. Also just ordered a baseball from Europelli all black with black stitch. Nice matte black strap that looks nice.

I have ordered this one from Walter, but in stead with white stichings I've ordered one with black stichings.

try a pre-w cognac or pale. they age quick and very nicely!

i think cognac, natural and pale/butterscotch goes very well with the pvd.

*edit*

tried on a vintage brown croco with creme stitch..think it looks sexy too..
