Just got my first Pam250 from Tony. He's great and fast with communication also fast shipping to so cal. Got my watch in less than 5 days.

I like my leather croc band but would like to change it up some times.

What authorized strap makers in this forum would you guys recommend for my PAM?

My watch came with the Pam tool to put on the date. Is this the same tool to change the straps? If so how do I change the strap with this tool?
By the looks of it, I would basically use the tool to push the rods out...right?

Thanks for your help!

This question gets covered a lot, but I have an SP1 RC51, so I thought I would hook a brother up before you get flamed.

Lots of choices on strap makers. I like Donerix Hamilton Leather Works croc straps (I have many), but it all depends on what kind of strap you like. You pretty much can't go wrong with any of the TD strap makers. Also, in the "PAM Model Reference' Sticky in this forum, there is a huge list of strap makers. Start there, do some reading, reach out to a few makers and get a feel for who you want to work with by looking at some examples of past work.

Cheers and safe riding!

Are the strap bars screws?
No screws. They are flushed on both ends.

Thanks bro!!! I got the SP2 04 Hayden edition. Love the v-twin!!! I can't go back to riding those 4 cylinder bikes anymore.
I have checked out the strap maker sticky. Lots of those links are dead. I checked out most of the TD strap makers but some don't have any pams. By browsing throught those sticky I saw some of the strap maker that had a link to some straps for the PAMs but couldn't find it on the website.

Agreed, nothing quite like a v-twin sportbike. But that said, I also love my VFR. Its a 5th gen which still has the gear driven cams and in my opinion its as good as sport-touring bikes get.

Anyway, I digress. Other strap makers worth a look include Mario Paci, K-Straps, SMP_Lover (Vic), and another vouch for Wotancraft. One option you might want to consider is checking out the accessories sales section over at paneristi. There are usually threads there of Risti's selling 50+ barely worn straps for much less than retail cost. Good way to sample some different makers and styles. Definitely worth a look!

Never ridden on the VFR before but I'm sure I'll love it when I do. BTW, don't the VFR have almost the same engine as the SP2?

I'll check out all those strap makers you suggest and also the sales section on Paneristi. Thanks for helping a noob out.

VFR is a v-four configuration with quad overhead cams. 800cc. Makes a pretty unique noise, good torque and don't have to rev the thing to death like most 4-pots to get any power out of it. Makes for a very usable power range, but lacks the grunt of the liter bikes.

The PAM250 comes with the QR system for the lugs so you use the tool that came with the PAM to change out the straps. You can separate the tool into two parts, one to push in the button from the back and the other to push out the lug bar (you need to push on the lug hole at the same side as the button you are pushing on). Even if a strap maker does not have any PAM specific strap, any maker worth their salt (or leather?) can easily make one for you as they the least complicated to make (not saying it's easy, but for them it's a piece of cake). :)

Um, any of them? If they couldn't make a PAM strap they wouldn't be on the list mate.

Oh, I see the button on the back. Thanks for telling me that took can separate. It'll probably take me forever to figure that out...lol Thanks!!

Thanks for the reference, and I agree.. we can all make you a strap. It's just what you want and are looking for is going to be the deciding factor.
