I am ordering a strap from panatime for my new 177M and have a few questions.

1.) what do I need to order in addition to the strap?
2.) what are spring bars?

Any additional info/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1) If your stock strap is 24/22 (24mm at the lugs, and tapering to 22mm at the buckle) and you buy a strap that's 24/24 (non-tapered, like most aftermarket straps) then you need a new 24mm buckle. If your stock strap is 24/24, or have a stock 24/22 are ordering a replacement that is also 24/22, then you need nothing.

2) They replace the lug screws that hold straps in. Good replacement for watches where the screws or the holes for the threading are stripped, and also good if you're like me and change straps 2 or 3 times a day.

So you would you suggest getting the spring bars for the 177m?

Also do i need to buy tubes?

As you may be able to tell this is my first strap purchase.

I would not buy spring bars. The screws that come with the watch are flush and make it more "gennish" because they come to the end of the lug. I like tubes some people dont use them.

Also some spring bars might strip out the threading on the case. Tubes help keep the case screws from backing out and also help the strap to pivot more easily. I'd get tubes and use the stock screwbars.
