I'm still waiting for my 177 to be mailed out. Shortlisted a few straps but they don't come with buckles.

Just need to check whether can I remove the buckle of the rubber strap or do I have to order a buckle.

The buckle that will come on the strap is screw-in, so you can use that. It will only be 22mm, though, so you'll need a 24/22 strap...

Thanks Hooligan!

Cool! Some straps states that is for deployant buckle while others din.
Can I fix a deployant buckle on a 24/22 if its din state its design for the purpose.

I guess the width of the strap might have something to do with it... too thick cannot fix right?

When I got my 177L, I purchased a strapculture strap, but didn't care for the bulkiness of the sc legend II Ti buckle it came with so I went over to Panatime (I'm local) and picked up a nice 24mm Ti buckle for $15 ($20 on the site). It gives the perfect balance to the watch and strap. I highly suggest picking up a buckle from Panatime. It's much nicer and more substantial than the rep buckle on the rubber strap.

pic for reference of the different buckles:

That's beautiful! Worth considering but have to wait for the watch to land first.
I ordered mine from Strapcode last night.
Free shipping to asia so kinda seal the deal for me...

Damn, that's why these rep buckles are rubbing on my new 24mm straps. Never thought they'd be 22mm.

Straps for 44mm PAMs generally accept straps that are 24mm lug size. The dimensions of such straps come either in 24/22 or 24/24... meaning the buckle size can either be 22mm or 24mm.

Most post-V OEM straps from Panerai, along with the rep straps that come our rep PAMs, are usually 24/22. Therefore, most 'Panerai' signed deployment or tang buckles are 22mm. Some of us, however, prefer pre-V strap dimension 24/24, with wider buckle at 24mm. There are only tang buckles available at 24mm though. No deployment for 24mm unless it is aftermarket.
