I have two BP Navitimers at home right now.
One is stock and the other one has gen dial and prof 2xAR.

When I look at them I can't see that the stock crystal is yellow. Am I right?

It also appears that the AR on the stock crystal is pretty damn good. What do you think?

That’s the best, least yellow stock crystal I’ve seen on a Navi World. I’d leave the white one alone. You can see the off-white bezel ring on the blue one has a yellowish tinge to it. Usually the white one should look the same. Count your blessings!

Thank you! As I'm pretty new to this I don't know what to look for and I have a really hard time comparing gen from rep. Especially with the good reps.

I had a SO special for a while. Everything about that watch screamed gen to me. Unfortunately I felt that it was to small for me so it had to go.

I'm also considering selling the blue dial navi.
I prefer the white dial and don't se myself using it that much.

I'm on the look out for a gen white dial instead. Already got the gen bracelet. Speaking of bracelets, what are the tells on Navitimer bracelets?

All the best

I am not sure of specific tells but here are the details for the Breitling bracelets. I think it is more the feel than anything specific. After giving a Rep bracelet the infamous oil bath I can't tell.

I agree with Mr King. Breitling bracelets aren't like Rolex bracelets. The 7-row rep bracelet that ships with most Worlds and Navi 01s/Classics is equal to gen in quality - which is more a reflection on the state of the gen Breitling. All the Professional bracelets are crap - and Breitling is roundly criticized for having the shittiest clasp in the mid-luxury watch manufacturer range. TBH, I really don't try to authenticate the bracelets anymore. I've seen rep bracelets that are nicer than gens. And yes, an oil bath is critical for any bracelet with links. Makes a world of difference!

So what is wrong with the white dial on your watch now? There are only about 50 people who would be able to tell the difference between gen and rep, and you've been chatting with two of them. Aesthetically and cosmetically, the white World is a keeper, just the way it is. The best investment you could make for that watch is a gen ETA 7750 movement. Cheaper than a gen dial and will ensure years of enjoyment from your investment. And you can sell the old asian 7750 movement to offset your cost of upgrade.

You are probably right. Live and learn.

When I compared the gen blue dial with he white rep dial it was a world of differance but I have never seen a gen white dial in person.

I have got caught up in the game. Buying and selling, figuring out what I like to wear and coming to terms with how much of a nitpick I am.

Pixel peeping can give you analysis paralysis. If you can’t see it with the naked eye, it ain’t worth worrying about. Spend time and money on function first, ‘cause it ain’t no fun when your franken takes a crap on you. A gen datewheel is no use if the hands can’t go round the dial accurately.

I was thinking about putting an ETA in it. But the movement runs flawlessly. Keeping accurate time within a few seconds and has st least 40h of PR.

If it’s tight and quiet, then leave it alone. 40h PR is excellent for A7750.

Is a 7750 or 7753 my best option?
I believe that the 7754 is what the gen is using but I have never seen one of those for sale.

From my understanding the rep hands wont fit on the ETA movement. Right?

I assume that the white dial navitimer is my old one from m2m. I can tell you that BP Factory has upgraded the stock crystals for the white dial models. There seems to be no more yellow hue in the stock crystal. I owned several navitimer worlds and this was the latest model I had and I also was stunned by that awesome stock crystal. Wear it in good health!

You are right. It is your old watch and it looks stunning.

I didn't know about the new crystals. Wouldn't that put thus one closer to the super rep list.

It is not wrong, just a Little Bit off, barely noticable. The watch is definitely nwbig for me and you can also put an eta 7750 inside.

I clearly don't have he eyes of an expert yet.
I have compared it to pics on the internet and i can't see the difference.

I think what Mat is trying to say is, there are rep details that are “wrong”, and then there are details that are just “different” from gen. Most of the time a “wrong” detail is something you can’t live with. But sometimes the “different” details can add to the enjoyment.
