The mailman arrived this morning with 2 custom straps from Steveo for my PAM111N.

IMG_5883.jpg

Very nicely packaged with a Quality assurance tag. There's really no need to state there, but it's a very nice gesture from him. Make me feel confident with his product.

IMG_5884.jpg

And inside revealed a nicely wrap up straps!
IMG_5885.jpg

And yes, both strap I ordered are wrapped individually!

IMG_5888.jpg

I custom made this 2 pair of straps and it's cater to my wrist size.
These are made with the following request. (Many might find it troublesome):picard:

  1. Wrist size 7 inches
  2. 4 holes
  3. I'm going to use the 2nd hole only
  4. Must be thick 4mm and above.
  5. Thread have to be thick and waxed.
So with those ridiculous request, Steveo answered my request nicely and agreed to help me with those.

So the first strap I customized is a simple Black strap with waxed thread.

24/24mm

And the next strap I throw him a photo I got from the net and ask him to make one similar. However I don't have the photo with me now. And it look similar to the one but better.

After I took the photos, I mount my buckles onto the straps immediately!

Black strap with PVD Pig buckle (I know many people would say that PVD buckle is nice only on PVD watch head, but hater gonna hate!) I love it. I'm extremely pleased that the strap and the PVD buckle goes so well together!

And next is my 24/22mm strap! So I mount my rep Panerai buckle onto them!
Very nice!!!! I like the outcome of this too!

So with the buckles up, I took off my rubber strap from my PAM111N and mount the strap on!

Finally,

All in all, I've a terrific and great time working with Steveo. His service is top notch and communication with him is great! No forgetting the very reasonable price of the custom strap. Everything plus shipping is only 39.50usd each. And the short waiting time and fast shipment is another plus point! I will definitely return and get more custom strap from him! :stir:
Strongly recommended!

Excellent!

I think the feng sui is better with an odd number of holes

I agreed! And the number 4 represent "death" in my country!
But nevertheless, I like 4 holes. 3 too little and 5 too many. =P

Great pics!!!
I have several steveo straps! Love em. In fact got one on now! But I can't get to grips with his flashy new website...

Out of interest did those straps have a name or anything like that?

I have a 111n on order and fancy a nice blk strap!

Also by any chance do u know if the buckle supplied on the 111n ruber strap is 22mm or 24mm?

Thanks!

Hey TDR,

Yes! Love them! They look much MUCH better than the photos!
I agreed with you, the website is a little difficult to navigate around. USually I will go to 3T (timetechtalk.com) to follow up Steveo work. He's active there.

Oh... Those straps with names are usually from the gallery (Straps he made for sale). Whereas mine is custom made for me. I choose the color of the leather (or from his selection of leather) and choose the thread color/size and choose the stitches design or you can design your own stitches.

For mine, I want it to be not too flashy. So I go for the black and waxed thread. So I guess.... no name?

The PAM111N rep straps comes with a 22mm buckle. See my Brown strap.

Hey Sface,

It look really good in real person. The outlook of the uneven stitching plus the look of the PAM, give me this hardy feeling. And I like it sooooooo much....

And also, the brown straps is sandwiched strap (multiple layer of leather) and the black is a 1 layer 4.5mm thick leather. I figure that Steveo might have a tough time stitching the thread through that leather!

The stitching is too thick for the holes on the black one, so they sit a bit uneven. It does give a sort've rustic appearance which thankfully you appreciate. The brown one looks to be well stitched.

The leather is stitched after holes are punched with a fork looking tool. (I would assume this is how Steve does his if they are handmade.)

The process is the same regardless of the number of leather layers. My Executivo line is single ply 5mm thick full grain leather and it sews just like a multi ply strap would.

IMG_9896.jpg

If the black strap is single ply, how does the back side look and wear? The reason I ask is sometimes the hide can be uncomfortable against the skin, I do suaded calf backing on my single ply.
