Hello, I have an ocean one 39 that I bought about 5 years ago, I have the version with the ceramic insert where the numbers are not engraved which makes them unreadable in certain lights...

I found that Gnomon sells bezel inserts from "Steinhart Mods" which are ceramic with a lume pip and have engraved numbers filled with silver coating...

The problem is that I cannot remove the original insert without ruining it...

I would like to remove the bezel (the metal part) submerge it in acetone which will eat away the glue and make it possible to remove the bezel insert...

I have not found any video or post where anyone was able to remove the metal bezel...

There has to be a way to remove the bezel, it's not like Steinhart welds the bezels to the case...

Which tool should I buy ?

Any advice will be appreciated

Thank You

Do not submerge in acetone. Ever. To get out insert, heat gun on low (hair dryer also works), light pressure from non-marring plastic or composite tool, easy. Keep in mind any heat can damage some other parts, so I usually make a cardboard cone hat for the crystal to keep the heat away. Looks like a party hat for the crystal.
