since i got the first steelfish i-m in love with this watches.

i noticed on the blue dial light deformations because the indexes are simply pressed fom the dial not like on the black and white dials where they are inserted...i dont know, if you know what im trying to explain...sorry for my poor english.

on the picture fo the blue dial you can see the light deformations around the index markers.

thank you for looking

I thought I'm bitten hard by the steelfish.

Looks like you got bitten worst than me.

Anyway, congrats for your full collection. Pics are great.

Are they asian or swiss?

i think the asian sfso's are excellent in value. I feel you are paying the difference really only for the AR. I don't care so much about the movt diff because mine has a mingzhu chinese movt which is supposed to be really solid. the crystal is not sapphire but also doesn't make a difference to me. mine easily tested to 3 atm and possibly higher, just didn't push it.

oh well, the AR on the ETA version is very nice though. but i rather get a 1 or 2 watches with the difference.

Nice watches fleed, Your english is very good you don't need to apologize, thats an interesting observation about the index markers, I did'nt know that.

Have you relumed any of them yet, to my untrained eye they look like they would be fairly straight forward to do. Its always enjoyable to read about the work you do to your watches :)

What a great job and nice photos. Can you speculate why the hour marker differences in the blue vs. the white and black dials?

Thanks,

jk

the blue dial is one piece, it's a dial plate which the hour markers have been stamped from the backside with a press, that's why there are light deformations around the markers, i also saw it on a swiss eta model with blue dial...probably the blue dial comes from an other suplier.

I see what you are saying, the blue dial has the markers stamped into the dial from the back and the white and black dials have applied markers. The big tell on these for me is the applied markers have a flat top and well defined edge on the genuine and the reps have soft rounded markers and they reflect light very differently than the genuine!

Great photos and great super-lume too!

It makes me wonder why the construction of white and black dials is different to the blue.

Purely from a manufacturing point of view, why change how they are made :?:

How is the dial Gen constructed?

@H_U

Asian movement are reliable and keep good time so far for some of my reps. I will strongly recommend it to anyone to get it as the constructin of the watch case is really solid and further more tested water proof.

I got the swiss version because the Asian version was not out back then.

Since the 2nd swiss version has got the incorrect datefont. I think the choice is clear to go for Asian since the price is good.

Read my post in Breitling section "swiss fish meets asian fish"

Hope this will help you to decide.
