Does anyone know if Don's springbars are any good? Or maybe someone has some available? I'm looking to replace all my screws... trying to treat my lugs right...

I have River's Springbars and they're great.

Get the ones from River/Davidsen etc. They seem to be slightly less expensive.

BTW, I'm not a fan of springbars-over-screws simply for cosmetic reasons, but that's just me. If your lugs are shot, than definitelly a good option, I wouldn't start replacing them on perfectly good lugs, again this is my personal stance, and I'm sure others would disagree.

cheers,
babola

I had a pair of springbars on a piece i got from a forum member and they have the "screwhead" on one end... so they should be cosmetically correct? :?

Also Don has the advertised as $9 for 5 pairs... i thought river"s were a bit more than that... then again don doen't carry the 26mm's and i have yet to estableish if his have the faux screwhead...

Sapphire_Ghost,

http://www.internationalwatchman.com also has these same spring bars, at less price than Rivers and is in the US. I am not knocking River's, I actually bought 3 sets of them from River. But, I recently found out that this guy sells them as well in the US. He is a guy who goes around to different watch shows and my friend has a few things from him already.

Just look under Buckles / Spring Bars > Pan Style Screw Type

Not to mention the guy has a load of decent looking straps at a very good price for Rolex and other smaller models.
