Spring bar placement - replacement strap

Ive just got a a blue rubber Tudor Pelagous strap to replacement the titanium, and a rubber Omega strap to fit on a Planet Ocean - rep straps, on rep watches……..but i’m having real trouble getting the spring bar to fit on both.
Any advice?
Both straps appear to be good quality…..

Strap seems to be a nice fit. I can get one side of the spring bar in, but the other side will just not fit. It’s reallly close, but no matter how much i fiddle with it I can’t seem to get it to line up with the hole
