Is that too sporty/avaunt guard? A more traditional layout I suggest is the calibre 16 based chronos. This keeps the 7750 in the native configuration so it is more reliable. Below are a couple of examples from TD's websites.
The problem with the cal 1887 is the dials will be off from the gen, and the others like mine pictured above use a gear train to relocate the subdials which can sometimes be problematic.
