Today I'm offering up for sale a beautiful homage to the Tudor Submariner that was issued to the Marine Nationale. This a really exceptional example of the iconic blue snowflake Tudor Subs that were widely issued to French navy personnel in the 1970s. The watch features the iconic tritium dial, tritium hands and has the all-important MN78 caseback engraving.
Case has been reshaped to be much more gen-like and custom engraved.
Dial and insert are original bright blue, the brightness was toned down and some nice aged tritium like lume was applied.
On top of that I pantograph engraved the French Navy's motto "Honneur, Patrie, Valeur, Discipline" on the side of the watch case. Values to live by and painted on all of the french fleet's vessels.
