Hey guys,

I just bought a new rolex submariner, the new model (two tone).

When I wind the watch , I have a strange sound of a marble inside the watch. The watch didnt had any physical damage or so.

The watch is fully working. the only problem is this strange noise inside the watch...

What could be the problem?

Who can fix it?

How much it will cost?

Thank you,

Could be just a loose screw or something like that. Though a "marble sound"?? That's odd... Maybe something round rolling in there?... I'd pop it open and have a look. Probably no need to take it to a pro yet.

Sorry, just noticed you said the noise is audible when winding... Weird.

You'd have to ask first if they work on replica watches. Some of them refuse to touch them. Alternatively you can use one of our guys here. Look for their section; there are guys in both the US and Europe.

Yes probably a loose screw, dont wear it. Also try to leave it in a horizontal position with the crystal up or the screw might damage the movement. If you dont feel like taking off the caseback yourself, have a smithy fix it, prolly a silly fix.
It must be a very big screw to produce a "marble sound" ^^
Good luck.

I should have asked: You're not wearing one of those stone watches, by any chance, are you? That might explain the marble sound! :)

Good advice here. If there is something loose in the movement it can definitely be damaged. My recommendation is to pull the crown out all the way to time-setting position. That will "hack" or stop the balance from oscillating, and hence the movement will stop running. Less chance of damage that way until the watch can be opened and investigated.

Sounds like that loose bit has gotten into something. Do as G suggested and make sure the crown is out all the way. Then send it to a trusted watchamker.

It is possible the piece has jammed itself somewhere in there. Hopefully the damage is minimal. Sounds like it's time for a service.
