Having spoke through WhatsApp, Intially I was after a daytona, he said he would make some enquiries and give me an update the following day which never arrived. He may have been busy so I disregarded this. I proceeded to reply saying I really like the looks of a few more watches. As this stage I was wasting his time! I don't think that's a great way to reply to potential buyers. Even though I've found him abrupt at times, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. And we can move on if he doesn't want to supply watches to be that's he perogative.!!! However I would appreciate and explanation for his aloof and downright rude responses. I have a love of every time I texted him and includes his reply. I'll give it a few days as he maybe tied up but if no responses are forthcoming, I let the rest of the community decide if his behaviour is acceptable. I would just like others to comment on how they would feel it spoke to and treated like this.

I've just purchased a watch from the list of watches in stock and had no problems, quick replies and speedy shipping, I'm very happy with my watch and will be using Repsource again and judging by alot of the reviews so would alot of other members.
I would say if your not happy try another TD or wait till the watch you require is on the stock list ready to ship.
I'm sure Repsource gets hundreds of emails and texts so has to prioritise all enquiries and send on the spot quick responses which may come across in a different manner to different people. Anyway just my opinion 🤔

I have found the same in regards to quick responses and always next day delivery (Uk).
I have ordered 4 watches in the last few weeks and have absolutely no issues at all.

Those who know me know me well enough, know I keep things short and simple.
"I want X watch, ok great heres how to make payment, thanks il ship it tomorrow." Hundreds can testify to this

I make this the easiest process you could ever hope for!

It might come across as abrupt / dry but I have said on many occasions, its upto the buyer to do their own research, I do not go deep into question after question

Fact of the matter is I went about a dozen messages deep in the same day with you, I then went on a chase for a watch that no longer existed from a thread you dug up from 3 years ago, I then spoke to you about other options and explained movements available I sent emails to 3 suppliers also using their time. I cant recall the last message but I just gave up on it at that point.

So the lesson here is just do your own research, dealers are not an information service for new people with 20 questions and I mean that without sounding totally harsh but were just not. When selling gens I don't even get nearly the amount of questions as rep buyers which is rather hilarious.

I think the bigger lesson here is use a proper dealer instead of this middle man, these “uk” based “dealers” are only doing legwork for you and it seems this one is a bit prickly about that too.
let’s face it, we all know where these reps come from…. china, so just buy from there.

His behavior is acceptable, you did indeed wasted his time even though he was most accommodating per the reply above. TD's aren't your friends. Do you go to a restaurant or fast food place and have a whole 8 hour conversation with the staff? Or do you just order, eat, and leave?

You can window shop and ask specific questions, but don't rally around a TD expecting them to give you all their might. They have other clients and other stuff to do.

You're entitled to your opinion man.. however most of the Chinese dealers are also just middle men fetching a watch that someone asks for. its not much different.

Not many hold physical stock of watches, if they did buyers wouldnt have to wait days upon days for QC. I get any watch in 3 days, go figure

been here many years pal I know exactly how the system works, you’re just an unnecessary extra cog as far as I can see, just used by the plain lazy and impatient, more of a reseller than a dealer.

@SteelRiver - If you were buying dope on the street corner, would you expect the drug dealer to treat you the way a 5-star hotel concierge would?

My friend, perhaps this needs to be spelled out explicitly: This is not the Apple store. You're purchasing goods of questionable legality at best. People be flying under the radar. Some might be shady. For many, it's unlikely their day job. Considering this context, two pointers:
  1. It's still a free market. If one dealer is not to your liking, try others.
  2. Rep dealers aren't really there to hold your hands. They usually prefer customers who know what they want, know how this works, and know the risks. To learn those things, search the forums.
