Couple of days ago I got and email message from Ebay with a link to a listing for a vintage BP "No Radiations". Watch had about a day to go and was sitting at around 400.00 USD so I decided to "watch" it just to see what it sold for. Now the seller was very specific in stating that the only thing genuine about this watch was the movement!! Supposedly a "custom" case, maker unknown. I would highly suspect that the watch is a DSN with possibly a genuine movement, but who knows? At any rate, the bidding ended yesterday. Selling price 1250.00 USD plus shipping!! Now this looks to be essentially a DSN that can be had for 280.00 USD plus shipping. Obviously the buyer convinced that he got a real "Steal" considering genuine examples of the BP FF are selling from 10-50K depending on the provenance, model and condition. Ebay is truly the Wild Wild West and buyers better look carefully, read carefully and have a good knowledge of the watches they are bidding on.

Yes I saw that post too! Definitely a DSN

I've been trying to find an example of that BP movement for sale, no dice. Who knows.

Just like the guy who sold an old beat up sub last month, obviously a rep. When I emailed him and told him it was a pos he said, I listed it that I don't know if it's real, I found it in an apartment I cleaned, and selling it as buyer beware...Several of us reported it to ebay, and it got removed just in time. He sent me a message afterwords telling me I was an a..hole and should mind my own business....So I guess you can sell anything on EBAY, and if you say "it might be gen" it's ok?

What movement is in that watch? I was curious about the movements, and after some reading it looks like the original BP's had A Schild movements. Some had the 1700 I believe. Later models that were produced before the Fifty Fathoms was discontinued had ETA movements from what I've read.
BTW there is a watch on Ebay right now with and A Schild 1701 movement

Certainly does not seem genuine to me. I can assume it's a build mod. Rotor steel also has a color tint different from the one in the movement. Perhaps only the rotor can be authentic. Anyway, I would not spend so much money ... even if it looks aesthetically beautiful.
