Bought this from a member after seeing the great reviews. I'm not really a tag or chronograph guy, but this is a stunning watch. I haven't seen the gen in person, but have seen the other cal 1887 carreras, and IMHO it really stands up. The dial is hard to capture but the sunburst is great. I also really like the carrera case shape (especially the lugs) - I hope it's not heresy in the tag forum to say it reminds me of a vintage seamaster

Strap's probably not quite as nice as gen, but very good for rep. I might treat it to some fancier shoes at some point.

post more generic pictures please....can you show the sunburst of the dial? Based on TD pics, i've only seen the sunburst of the subdials and not the dial itself

@btwn I'll see what I can do on some other pics. Sunburst dials are hard to photograph!

@coldi thanks! The first is backlit by an led lightbox and front lit by the sun. Upped the exposure of the background in lightroom, but otherwise pretty much straight out of camera. Second is just lit by the lightbox (see the reflection). Wasn't sure about the shot at first but I like how it shows the dome of the crystal.

nice comparison! after seeing the gen you can clearly see the rep needs much better AR...looks pretty bad actually! Besides that, it looks pretty good.

The same is on the way to me, but I see the difference in dial color. In other thread here there is also problem with inside of strap, it's badly faded after 3 days, do you have any kind of this problem?

I wish they nailed the dial colour. This is the watch that led me to reps but I could never bring myself to get this rep.
