Hey guys, i really like the look of the 372 but the display back ruins it for me. The noob version is more accurate in regards to the dial and case but the eta movement is an obvious tell. The SC version has a better looking movement but it's a time bomb and the dial and case are not as accurate. I looked into getting a solid caseback but I wanted to have the regular engravings on the back as well such as the "Officine Panerai Brevettato" , stainless steel, series number and logo. Nightwatch has agreed to do the "Officine Panerai Brevettato" but needs a CAD file for the rest. He also needs 5 people to order it to make it a reasonable price. If anyone has or can source the CAD file for the engravings please let me know. Maybe one of the rep dealers would be able to supply it.

Thanks,
David

So far, I know night watch and athaya can do the general caseback with the OPB engraving. I seem to be out of luck with the rest.

It is copyrighted stuff so it would not be surprising not to be able to find the drawings you're looking for.

Maybe Jakob could help, but he will need a CAD file as well. Anyone who is going to engrave the caseback will need it I think.

Jakob just responded. He can do it but of course it will cost. I just have to decide which way to go.

I'd be interested if it's reasonably priced. How many people are interested so far? How much would it cost if we had 5 buyers? What about 10?

It could be of interest to KW 605 and 587 owners too... The issue there would be to have the serial/series aligned with those models, which are both Q series. And BTW, there no Q series 372s.

Hey watchpt

Do you have any updates? Do you think Jakob would be willing to do P and Q series serializations? If yes, should we reach out to all 372/587/605 owners and see if we can get enough people on board to bring the cost per unit down?

Yes, nightwatch will charge about $95 with 5 buyers and athaya will charge about $50 for his premade ones. They both will only have the OPB engraving only. They won't do the rest. Jakob will do the whole thing with the serial and logo for about $300. It just depends on what you want.

Thank your for your reply.

Is there any difference in quality between nightwatch or athaya? Any potential risks?

As far as Jakob is concerned, are we talking $300/unit?

Finally, which option would you consider?

I am planning to go the other way with my noob 372.
I want to save the existing display CB, but replace the movement to the OP XI cal. from KW PAM 127.

Ok, I have decided at this point to go with the Athaya caseback. For the price it was a no brainer. It is $40 with just the OPB engraving. I ordered the 6152/1 caseback. Hopefully it will fit. Now all I need to do is get a 372.

Well, I got my Franken Pam 372 today and now I am waiting on my solid case back with OPB engraving from Athaya. I'll post pics of the completed watch when it comes in. In the mean time here's a pic of my franken 372.
