But if you put a solid caseback, that still takes away from the watch as the gen has a display caseback right?

yes you 're right but I would prefer a nice solid caseback not close to gen rather than a very inaccurate movement which is a bigger tell ... IMO

Hi Inushuk
They are your own watches and that is up to you. Of course

But I disagree with you completely
-An inaccurate movemnet can be noticed by the 1% of people (or less)
-A solid caseback instead of a display one can be noticed by 100% of people !!

Furthermore, What engraving you will put in the caseback??
It is not a good idea IMO.

and WHO is looking at the movement anyway?? are you taking it off to show it off? i say like ALE, no one is going to know anyway. keep it on your arm and only you and your hairdresser will know.

Not close to gen = inaccurate

That said, it's up to you. But you're only improving things for yourself. Those who can tell the inaccuracy of the movement would still know that the 312 has a display caseback. Those who can't, won't care.

Me, I just wear the 312 face up. No more caseback to pick at. :)

I get where he's coming from in a way. Most people will not know which models have closed case backs so they will assume it's gen.

Someone might know a bit about the movement and can tell it's a rep but the inverse is true too. Ie someone might know the 312 has display CB and the movement might look legit enough to them.

I feel the movements do look decorated enough to make most people that are not pam fanatics think its legit.

Hi Guys thanks for your comments ...
And after your responses I'll change my mind... I'll keep those like that and maybe I'll sell those 2 watches for some others :)
So keep an eyes on the sales sections and I 'll may post those 2 beauties .... :)

Thanks again ...
