Hmm, the gen dial has a more glossy finish on the outside ring, and more of a satin finish in the middle. But tbh, the difference is not too significant. You don't need the gen dial.

Hey, went to an AD with a friend wearing a V1. Strap apart, it was virtually impossible to tell which was what, even on the dial. I was so impressed I'm now considering to grab one and take my chance with a V2.
So to sum up, if you own a V1 (and I hope there are good aligned V2 on par out there as well), you shouldn't bother to source a gen dial. Unless you have big bucks to spend.

Wearing a rep into an AD is a seriously frowned upon thing to do in this community. Is can be considered a ban able offence. If you do it we do not want to hear about it. Is is seriously in bad taste.

Geeez, bannable offence ? Honestly? Look if the rep was mine I wouldn't do it, not because of bad taste or whatever, but rather being ashamed to be called out. On the other hand my friend doesn't give a f*ck about it. Anyways, I still think that as I was able to see them both side by side, the info I gave to OP was relevant.
