So.. how long before v8?

The latest Diver shown at SIHH has a clear case back..
The Ceramic Diver already available from TDs has a clear caseback and a decorated movement..
So, how long do you think it will take for the Factories to have this new model available? Surely shouldn't be too long?
Something to look forward to after the CNY?
My stable needs a Diver

I am actually not too happy with the decorative plates used on the open case back Divers. So I am not looking forward to an open case back SS Diver V8 release until they update the decorative plates, or (MUCH BETTER) actually clone the gen movement.

Come to think about it... the v8 with the clear case back, etc.. maybe more expensive the current v6/7s...
May just opt for one of them instead...

I personally don't like open casebacks. I mean since they can never get the movement decorated as gen anyway so what's the point?

to be honest i dont think they will do a v8 ss diver if thats what you are referring to. I have asked a bunch of TDs and all say the same thing that no new versions are in store. I mean the last v7 was pretty damn good

So, did the new DW from domi not solve the problem on your SS Diver v7?

It's better but not 100%. As I said above, the problem is not the DW but the window cut (I reported this to JF via Ryan).
You'll always see the next day when you incline the watch.
For nitpickers, it's not good but acceptable

not too bothered about datewheel. its unlikely someone would be peering 3cm away from your datewheel unless you readily hand it out. I have and no one ever picks it up.
