I have to play devils advocate here. What about personal responsibility?
There are three types of people who bid on these items:
1. The ones who believe they can buy a 10k for 400. They are idiots and you can pull all the auctions and give all the warnings you want. They will get screwed by someone eventually and it will make no difference.
2. The ones who know the value of these items and think the person selling it doesn't know what they have. Their intentions are dishonest as THEY are attempting to take advantage of others. These folks have no character and I couldn't care less what happens to them.
3. The ones who want something for nothing. They think they are somehow entitled to something and don't appreciate the concept of fair trade. They are part of the me me me welfare society we live in and deserve no respect either.
Knowing this to be true, why report these guys? Are you jealous because you didn't think of it first? If that's true then does it mean you would do the same if you had thought of it? That would make you dishonest.
I say let them alone. I'm not going to buy anyhing on ebay. As far as others go, they have to take personal responsibility. They can do a google search just like anyone else. The resources are here. I am not going to do the work for them. If I did I might as well endorse socialized healthcare too.
