SMP vs PO

Just a quick poll - who here prefers the look and feel of the late-90s Bond and 2254.50 Seamasters (and their resultant reps) over their PO modern day equivalents?

I own both and I have to say I prefer the PO over the SMP, it's just not as elegant or versatile. That said, the SMP is still a beautiful watch and it's arguably even more recognizable than the PO.

Interesting. I always thought the POs looked a little too much like Omega Submariners but I've been wearing my 42mm PO v5 for the past few days and it's been growing on me. I put it on a nice black rubber strap to start with but it made the case look a little small - better on the SS bracelet I reckon (at least with a suit on anyway!)

I bow down to the SMP. My closed factory SMP overtakes the UPO anyday... However, if my UPO was frankenstein'd like Q5's it would be a different story
