finally got the transplant done, supposed to be a jimmyzfu case but they all look the same to me so who really knows. It does look nice back in a stainless case and the pinion fix is visible now that the post on the minute hand has been adjusted.

quick and dirty shots!
ya thats a blue CF strap too!

You guys need to stop posting pictures like this. You're making it very hard for me to keep my New Years resolution.

Great model. I picked this one up from River last year. It does have a stainless steel case.

Ya I bought the parts from here, it was probably from you!! :p
I didn't use the crown that came with it because it fit just a little too tight against the case so I used an early palp crown on it...

I got mine from http://www.internationalwatchman.com/home.html he is a really fun guy to talk to on the phone, he sells rep quality homages and stuff here in the US and he has a large selection of straps and accessories.
His site sucks in firefox so IE only! he has the CF straps with the small buckle punch holes and also the Panny style punch holes be sure which one you order from him! he doesn't have online ordering either because he is a Luddite or something so you have to email him!

I got the dial, hands and caseback from River last year as well, I put it in a stainless case originally but changed it to a Ti case later when I needed the stainless case for another project!
When I get really ambitious I will send it in for relume or relume it myself...

Very different and very nice !

This model had been originaly considered by many as a prototype, or first 5218-207/A attempt, although it reached its retail production state, albeit in very limited numbers.
Reportedly it was the first ever white dial Panerai Luminor watch produced by request of S Stallone, however he didn't find it attractive enough and asked them to use more "standard" dial - the famous 5218-207/A MKII with black thicker and wider numerals was then born

Groovy ! :p

That story gets better every time it's told!
Not even Panerai seems to know for sure what really goes on in their workshop

I remember when pictures of it first surfaced they said there were only a handfull made but not too long ago I read somewhere that there were actually a couple hundred...
