Sinn U1000

I hope, I can get some advice here on the movement used in the Sinn U1000 replica PVD/RU I bought a couple of weeks ago.

The movement is an Asian 7750. Whilst I am aware of the problems with 7750s in general, where the seconds are altered from the 9 o'clock position, I nevertheless opted for the watch due to a rather good price and to wanting to try out this particular watch, which I have wanted to buy ( as a GEN) for quite some time.

I have now been PMd by another member here, who really loves the watch, about where I got the Sinn etc. and I am a little bit uncertain, how strongly I should advice against buying this particular REP. I already did mention to him the possible time bomb-problem. I just got the distinct feeling that this member really, really loves this particular watch, but is rather young and buying a dud would really be worse for him than for most other members.

So here goes: seeing that the Sinn actually has the crown and the pushers on the left side and not the right, does this mean for the U100 that there is no time bomb problem, since the 9 o'clock position now basically it's the 6 o'clock position.

I would be really grateful if you could point me to the right direction, so I could advise this fellow RWIer with more confidence.

BTW: I of course meant that the seconds are turned from the 9 to the 3 o'clock position

Good to know. Unfortunately I could not find the watch there, was it also a model with an 7750. I would expect that the time bomb problem would not only affect the chrono-function but the whole movement. Wouldn't it?

I never was a big fan of the design form of the U1 or U2. The watch just doesn't look attractive to me, no offence to those who are big fans. I do however am a big fan of this U1000! Going to do a bit mor research on these and who knows! One might be sitting on my wrist really soon! :)
