Sinn U1 Photo shoot!!! Tons of pics!! One of the best reps of 2009!!

I recently got a Sinn U1 from Hont ansd was very glad I got it.

First impressions were that the AR was damn frigging great, The crystal disappears at certain angles!

Some observations are that the overall finishing is not as good as the gen.. But it is to be expected. Too solve the problem, I took a gen from my friend, took some capecod and polished the hell outta it, try to match the gen colur and luster, which I got pretty close... these are the pictures, enjoy!!

Side profile shots (notice the luster and shine on the case! it took me a days worth of polishing!)

Finally, Some shots of the clasp and the caseback, which I painstakingly polished with capecod too!!

Comments are welcomed!!! I think this is a great rep but needs some touching up, one of these days, I am going to try luming on this beauty too, this is a keeper for me!!!

The rep that comes stock from the factory has a very dull casing, so this to me is a definate mod!!

Quick question, i thought cape cod polish removes the brushed steel look? From your pictures the steel still looks brushed?

this watch is a sand blasted one, cape cod cannot really remove that!!

THis is a asian 21j version... Having a jerky hands issue when not wearing, but performs very well when worn, so I am happy..

The U1 is closer to the gen than the U2, it's a keeper indeed, for the price.
But why did uou polish it ? (except for the nice aspect). The gen is supposed to be sandblasted ?

pno the gen is not sand blasted, just some submarine steel, i saw the gen and looked at the rep and decided that the finishing of the rep was a little rough, so decided to cape cod it a little, i may have over done it though..

The result is very nice, I was just asking from the replication point of view.
Never seen a gen in person.
