Hello, bought this u1 with a slightly scuffed hour hand. Also bought gen hands from sinn. Sent to watch repair guy in UK and after a few weeks the following conclusions were drawn.
with the existing red hands, the clearance is too low therefore they collide into one another.
With the new white hands the tubes are too shallow therefore they don't even fit onto the posts.
When I use longer hour minutes and even second wheel posts to accommodate for the white hands, they foul on the crystal.
If I try to use the longer posts for the original red hands the result is the same- the saphire is so thick that it allows for next to no play.
So, I wondered if there could be any way to resolve this. If there are any tips or tricks that someone could do, to get the new hands I have on the watch with no issues etc...
I really want this watch to work. The scuffed hand is currently operating but when setting the time on the watch you can physically see the catching if the hour hand when the minute hand passes it.
Can anyone confidently fix this, would a new movement solve it and allow new hands? Just looking to get these hands installed and to have a reliable watch!
Many thanks
