Interested to know further about Sinn rep since fellow member said that it has one of the best AR application out of the box.

I know that Sinn is famous for their tegimented steel, which is a submarine grade steel and extremely strong, its being said that it won't leave a mark even if you accidentally bang it.

What about the reps?

And also I've checked PT site, the one launched in 2013 has orange & yellow dial, not my cup of tea. Will there be any Sinn rep new release in near future?

There's a new crop of U2/Gmt versions out with the bracelet. Only available before on rubber. It has the beadblasted case set great AR and correct dial. They wont be tegimented steel though, just beadblasted 316L as per most reps.

I have a U1 with 21j 2813 movement. It's a fantastic rep apart from the second hand which droops a bit when you hold the watch in certain angles (movement issue, Swiss ETA doesn't have this problem).

If I had to pick a Sinn right now I'd probably get a U2 21j with bracelet, U2 Solebox 21j or a U-Black Swiss ETA.

The BP maker is working their way through all thier reps and updating them...a lot more of the updated models are available now than are listed on the dealer sites at the moment..so make sure to ask ...try Sead ... he was discussing these with me the other day :)

Quality wise ....even the older versions had great reviews...solid and well built... great AR etc

Most guys seem to just speak anout the pearl as an issue ... though for me its more the bezel...

However as Bonesy mentions they aint sub steel but the finish is still very good to create the look on the wrist

On the JRs the biggest issue is the lume marker height..the gen is almost flat..

What about the X56/7 series, are those getting a rep upgrade? or which is the better choice currently?
I'm currently looking for a 656/7 or 856/7 preferably, tia.

Sinn has a reputation as a technical watch, so you won't be getting all their nifty features like the argon gas filling, tegimented steel, dry technology etc ;) These are just replicas.

One of the Sinn replica issues is the lume for me. The gens have much better lume, Sinn uses Stealth lume on some watches.
