Simple Strap Question

Can asso straps be used with deployant clasps? or do they have to be used with tang buckles.

Also, what is the criteria for straps that can be used with deployant clasps?

Please share your thoughts

The notch for straps meant for buckles have a smaller cutout than the ones for deployants so if you really want to use it for deployant, you'll have to make the cutout bigger.

Straps that are to be used for deployants need to be thinner, at least at the end area compared to straps made for tang buckles since you have to insert that into the deployant.

Thanks mysterio, for some reason i was under the impression that the sizes were different too. But that helps a lot. Do you know if anyone makes asso straps for deployants?

I can't speak to the deployment buckle issue, but I can say that having just received my Asso rep strap from Puretime, I'm impressed--especially for the price.

I couldn't get the deployant clasp from my 288 to work with the Rad Asso strap from Toro. I managed to fit it but it wouldn't close properly so I gave up in the end.
