A while ago I ordered an economy Rolex Submariner from Michelle at Silix Prime, and was happy with it. Cheap as chips and although not perfect, seemed pretty good.
So recently I ordered the high-quality blue face Omega Seamaster.
Wow!
Definitely worth the extra and a different league. It feels far heavier, is really well made, beats at 28,800, and has dressed up internals with transparent back. It has the red ring inside the escape valve and all the small details. Every little detail is there, including the clasp that has opens wider like the original.
I have taken to a jeweller to remove a link from the strap, and they commented on how nice it was (not knowing it was a rep).
The economy watches are good, but on close inspection, you can see flaws, but if this one is anything to go by, then higher quality ones are just that.
I'm now considering replacing my Submariner with the better version of the same watch...
