if you can justify spending over $400 on a rep... go for it. and as for being water resistant, there are plenty of threads on that if you search, or just buy it and try it and tell us all about it!

i'd contact a few other dealers (hont, fr example) n get some more price quotes. see what comes back, make yr decision then.

thats what i woulda done! i personally have to have a really good reason to spend more than 300 on a rep if i have to. Good luck on your search.

I am pretty sure he meant "hont for example". Hont is one of the trusted dealers here on RWI.

Look in the dealers section and don't forget to read the reviews...

i've settled for davidsen's ultimate pam111H.

i'm wondering about water resistance though. anybody know?

You just can't hardly go wrong with Davidsen. Ask him about water resistance - from what I know of the guy I believe he will be honest with you.
And, like Fakey said, get it tested at a local watchsmith. It's usually not too expensive (mine charges $50) and well worth it before you destroy a watch.
