TD has offered to repair my watch thats only a few days old.
My concern is getting it over there without being seized...
Instructions are to ship via registered airmail..no express services (Dhl/fedex/usps)

My question is who do I use then?
I'm in Australia and have no clue who this would be.

Any advice greatly appreciated :)

The prevailing advice across the forum is do not send the watch back to China.

If it gets stopped by customs, watch gone & money gone.

The preferred option is to get it repaired locally (or by one of the many approved watchsmiths at the below link) & negotiate with the TD as to the split of the costs.

It is a risk when buying rep watches unfortunately, but it's never advised to send back to China unless you have no other options.

I recall seeing this before, but not sure how up to date it is.

Best of luck

I highly do not recommend that you ship it back. It has a very good chance of getting seized at customs!

So there's no good luck stories on this then?

An estimate for repair is almost 90% of the original purchase price..I know this is part of the hobby but there has to be a happy medium of sorts doesn't there??
Happy to return, but running that gauntlet of customs has me cautious..

You ought to negotiate a full or at least a partial refund from your TD. Reputation matters, a good TD will sort it.

There are ways to ship watches safely to China with daigou shippers as they have specialised lines, I have sent multiple watches before without issues but you will need a residential address or relatives/friends in China so that any customs issue can be dealt with in China.
