I have an SH3186 movement removed from a brand new ARF 116710 here. It gains several minutes within an hour, but the timegrapher says -3s/day. Amp 210°, BE 1,1ms, LA 52°, 28800 BPH.
Maybe somebody put some wrong wheels in and the gear ratio is wrong :p Seriously, any idea where to start looking?

The timegrapher, Weishi 1900, should be OK. I´m using it for a while now and have adjusted several other movements already.

Have you tried seeing if it's positional? It's possible that it might be running acceptably dial up but then when you face it dial down or on its side it runs abnormally.

I have it sitting on the timegrapher on my desk so I can keep an eye on the display to see if something strange happens, but it seems to run steady. Nevertheless, after an hour it has gained several minutes.

Magnetized or not, the timegrapher says -3sec/d and in fact, it is +a few minutes per hour. That puzzles me...

odd is seem watches loose time , while the timegraph is dead on due to a slipping cannon pinion.....

i wonder if the minute hand is loose ?

Hands are not loose, I have just the bare movement without dial on the timegrapher

This is quitte interesting. Could it be that 2 hands or gears/gmt mechanism are touching each other and thus causing the minute to be dragged with them?

It´s only the minutes hand on the movement meanwhile, will have a look at the gmt gear.
thx

I have rep sub and it keeps good time face down but face up its very slow. Any idea what the problem is ?

A while back I had an SH 3135 movement that was somewhat erratic running like that. In that one's case that turned out that one of the balance jewels had been dislodged most likely in shipping.

check the third wheel teeth count against a running 3135 movement, I think you will find you have one too many on the 3186
