Hey, I saw someone mention something about SELLITA movements on another thread so thought I'd do some research.

Having read around a bit, it seems there SW500 movement is basically the same as the VAL7750 and of equal quality but apparently considerably cheaper?

This sounds perfect for changing the movement in my Tag grand Carrera which is a bit dodgy.

Problem is, I can't find one for sale anywhere. Does anyone know where to get them.

Thanks for the help.

From what I've seen, the SW500 movement is still in development by Sellita. I haven't seen any watches using it yet. Based on the success of the SW200, I would think this would be a very reliable movement.

Invicta will probably buy them all up. Most of their "swiss" watches use the sw200 as well.

Stay tune/... I am negotiating with them to be distributor and sole importer in SEA.

I will still trust the quality and the allure of real "Swiss Made" movement. Although they are priced higher than the Asian copy, the one that is Swiss Made will offer a much more refined movement.

Can the Chinese reach this standard? Definitely, but we have to pay for the price.

I have an Invicta 9938, the first automatic I bought. No problems, and a nicely finished movement, IMHO.

I can say the same about my Swiss movement automatics, too.

The world is just getting smaller it would seem.

That is very interesting. Well if anyone can get me an SW500 either now or when they are available at a good discount over the ETA version then let me know.

Cheers.

I still think Asian 7750 28800 is a good movement... if is has been assembled correctly.

However, we have to have a look to this new Sellita.
