So i don't really understand how this works.

i know you wind it up to gain power but i did yesterday when it received the watch and it's already stopped.

can anyone explain how it works and the proper way to wind up the watch to have it last long?

This comes with manual wind movement. So you need to wind it up every 40 hours or so.

It's a HAND WIND movement in a 111h, not auto. It does NOT self-wind. You have to wind it up all the way.

Instead of winding the crown you could keep the crown still and turn the watch case around instead. A bit problematic with the crown guard so you have to take that off first. Don't forget to take photos! :D

Ok, on a serious note. That was a DSN 111H if I remember correctly? GIVE US SOME PICS! :D

so turn it until it has a lot of resistance and stop? that alone should last me a day or two, correct?

To be honest I rarely wind it until there is extra resistance, and definitely not until a lot of resistance. Usually I wind it 47 "turns" every morning. Yes, exactly 47. Yes, I am neurotic. Anyway, that keeps it going for at least a 24 hour. I love handwound movements. :D
