I understand that- I just thought it was interesting that they were able to get Rolex's attention enough to do it for them special order.

From the Sotheby's description:

In 2015, the United States Secret Service Employee Recreation Association (ERA) marked the 150th anniversary of the United States Secret Service (USSS) with the sales of personalized memorabilia including 15 laser engraved Rolex wristwatches commissioned through Tourneau New York. Appraisals from Tourneau confirmed their order from Rolex’s Corporate Sales Division.

The present lot is a later special edition out of 50 total pieces, delivered to the previous owner, a USSS alumnae in the Fall of 2020. Accompanying the watch is a Tourneau appraisal, confirming this special order directly from the retailer’s Corporate Sales Division. The appraisal further describes “the case back design consisting of the U.S. Secret Service Old Star and corresponding motto, Worthy of Trust and Confidence has been engraved by Rolex USA.”

First, Torneau is in business to make money, and second, are you going to tell the Secret Service no? Third, lots of comments about "oh I can do that, it's just laser. I can rep one". Like too many movies, not everything needs to be remade. This watch is one of them.
