Second order with Hont - Tudor GMT ZF

Good day everyone!
I finally decided to go for the Tudor GMT Pepsi from ZF for my 2nd order from Hont.

- 02/02 Asked Hont if he has the watch, got a positive reply
- 03/03 Asked for payment data so I could transfer the money, mentioned that I'd like to pay with Wise
Received payment information for SEPA transfer the same day
Asked how much Euros I'd have to pay and since then (03/03) no response from him anymore

Are some of you experiencing a really slow response from him as well?

Have you paid yet? I used Google to figure out the conversion rate. Most banks also allow to enter the amount in $ and they apply their internal conversion rate.

There is a time zone difference and I hope he also sleeps at times. I'm in touch with him for an order and all is fine so far. I think they might have a large backlog after the Chinese new year.

Actually, some minutes ago Hont reached out to me with the payment info and I made the payment just now, so everything is fine.

Yes, I'm definitely aware of all that and I never wanted to blame him or something - in case it sounded like that.

Anyway, now that I made the payment I'm waiting for his confirmation and the next steps. Also, thank you for taking time to respond!

- 08/02 Hont confirmed payment, I sent order information by email as instructed

Now waiting for him to send the QC pictures.

- 10/02 Hont sent me the QC pictures, watch looks astonishing. I asked him for a separate video showing the GMT function to which Hont replied with "okay"

- 13/02 Hont sent me the video of the GMT function - the GMT hand is moved independently so it's a caller. No problem for me though as I was hoping/expecting that.

Since 13.02. no response from Hont. Asked him lately whether he has shipped the package already. No response still, so hopefully he responds soon with a tracking number.

For future reference, the best way to deal with Hont is to belay all the info you want to share in one go and just wait for an answer. Usually you get a response within 24 hours. Maybe a bit longer now just after Chinese new Year. It has to do with how he reads messages. He responds from the oldest unread message to the newest so every time you message him you put yourself in the back of the queue. It's a good way to do things so that he's able to respond to everyone but it can be confusing and irritating for new buyers who are used to how modern legit businesses do customer service and send him a new message twice a day and never get a response. Not saying you are guilty of this but you see people complaining about it all the time.

Sit back, lower your shoulders and trust the process, you will get your tracking info, he just doesn't usually update you when he doesn't have useful info to give you. Hont has been a Trusted Dealer here for over 15 years and is very reliable. You're in good hands

Short and concise messages worked for me with Hont. He doesn't seem to be the chatty type, neither am I so it's fine.

We'll be seeing some more GMT using the Seiko movements, which is fine for me since it's a reliable movement.

Thank you really much for your detailed description of how Hont deals with messages! Even though I'm not that new to the rep game, I didn't know about the way Hont handles his messages and it helped me understand. I'm not doubting that he is a fine gent and I bet he wouldn't be a TD anymore if he was doing something in a wrong way. So, no doubts and worries about that. Yeah, last time I ordered from Hont it seemed like his responses were faster but I guess quite a lot of new people have discovered the addiction of rep watches since then.
