hi well i just received my OMEGA 007 50 th anni with eta 2824 movement and i have a problem with the movement , the second hand is stopping after 3 to 4 minutes of running always on the 45 MARK the watch is well wound the problem is not the reserve also . the thing might be that the second hand is touching to the inside mark .or that some hand is not secure in place . because i shake the watch hard and it running again . or is it a wheel or something else .

Either the hands are not parallel with each other or the second hand needs realigning. Have to take the movement out to fix it.

+1...anyway you can post a photo of the stopped hands from a side view? Also be sure to remove the winding stem if you attempt to take out the movement.

Thanks! I do a little tinkering now and then and have to agree it sounds like the hands might be rubbing against one another. If that's the case, and you're inclined to pull the movement out and adjust them slightly, it's not a difficult fix. Just be sure if u do, use a micro screwdriver to GENTLY nudge the rubbing hands apart so you don't create more problems...sounds like one of the assemblers at the factory had a bad day.

One unrelated question...does your 50th have the crown screw-in issue reported by many owners on the forum?

hey trevsdad i have saw the pics of the omega very nice ...

sounds like u might not be operating the winding stem properly. There are two positions when u pull the stem out. The first will change the date. Pull it out a little further (...you should feel a click) and then you can adjust the time. When you push it back all the way you will still need to screw in the crown and that's where some have difficulty screwing it in...make sense?

If u remove it and don't know how to remove the stem let me know. It's simple but sometimes not obvious

I have this same problem with my Skyfall CrPO. Seconds hand is always at 45 seconds when the movement comes to a halt. Reading this it seems like there could be some friction between hands, no?

The seconds hand is well clear of the minute hand, but I guess if there is contact between min and hour hand this would halt the lot.

Is that to most likely cause as until now I've been thinking it was some dust in the movement or something that a service would sort out.
