Hi Everyone,

I was hoping someone might be able to help me figure out what I should do with my PAM111H. The title pretty much says my problem but the pictures will probably make it clear. The second hand is touching the face for about 180 deg between 12 oclock and 6 oclock. I noticed it when my watch stopped keeping good time. It usually binds each time it goes around, if I shake it a little it will keep on ticking, but it binds again on the next revolution.

This was purchased from a TD last December, so I have worn it daily for approximately 7.5 months. Its the H-Maker 18,000 bph asian 6497 movement. Never opened up or serviced.

What should I do? Do i need to get it serviced or should I open it up and "bend" the second hand up slightly so that it doesnt rub?

Help is appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Ah shit! It's because the lume is to thick on backside from hands... Sand it down and all is good. But the dial is broken now...

The second hand just needs to be leveled with a hands pusher. If you don't want to tackle it, it's a rather simple fix for one of our watchmakers. If you are in the U.S. check with Katt.

Thanks,

Yes I am in the U.S.

Right now, I am not sure if I want to tackle it. Im kinda thinking that I would like to replace the dial as it is obviously scratched right now.

Does anyone know a place where I could buy a set of tools to work on my watch myself? Any good websites or videos that show removing the movements/hands?

Thanks so much for the help guys. I still dont why this happened all of the sudden after 7 months of smooth operation...

its a pretty easy fix, but yea theres a chance the dial is ******.

Ive been searching, but I cant find a place that sells dials.

Where can I buy a new Noob or H-Maker Dial? Ive only found Homage dials for sale...

To follow up on this, I figured out what happened.

I opened the case back and found that one of the two screws that holds the movement in was not tight, and about 3 full turns backed out. I tightened it up and now the second hand does not hit the dial as it sweeps.

Kinda sucks now I have a scratched dial, but atleast my watch works agian.

i was wondering how it worked for 7.5 months and all of a sudden started this--i am not going to say i thought it was a loose screw but i did think something happened that had not happened for 7.5 months. does it look so bad you can't live with it? if not use it and take your time finding the dial you want and then have it replaced. good luck!!
