I did not compile this list but thought it should be posted here for reference. If there are any mistakes please feel free to make any corrections.

Also I was contacted from Seagull U.S. today and they are "working with the factory to get some ST movements imported into the U.S. after the Chinese New Year." so it will be nice to have access to the ST movements. Not sure what the prices will be...we will see.

SEAGULL MOVEMENT LIST:

ST6 (auto/handwind)

ST6D (auto/handwind, used in many lady Datejust's)

ST80 (handwind/auto, tourbillon)

ST9 (handwind, repeater)

ST18 (auto, similar to Eta 2892, sometimes referred to as ST26)

ST21 (auto, copy of Eta 2824, sometimes referred to as ST26)

ST25 (38 jewels, auto, open heart)

ST 19 ( handwind chrono)

ST36 (17 jewels, handwind, Unitas 6497-6498 clone)
ST 3620 (seconds at 6, 6498 movement)

again please feel free make any changes, updates, or additions to the list since I am in a constant state of confusion regarding Chinese movements. :D

Yes, I did LoL ...the next thing to work on is a photo of each movement to go with each model number.

Here is some updated info regarding the Eta 28XX copies.

It was reported that one of the tells in the clone movement was that the 'crown wheels' had less holes than the Eta wheels. (See photo below)

holesinwindinggearsEta-CopyMedium.jpg

But as you can see in the comparison photo below this is not always true depending on which factory it comes from.

Look at the little wheels ( 2 crown wheels with the little holes in them) in the Seagull movement. They are exactly like the crown wheels in the Eta movement. (Eta wheels are in dark photo but they are just like the Seagull, more holes in them)

The crown wheel "tell" would still work on the movement from the middle factory, fewer holes, but the Seagull clone is just like the Eta crown wheels....also look at how close these parts are by comparison.

After some looking I found a slightly more detailed list.

Sea-Gull Movements.

ST6 – 3 sub-families:

* Woman-size automatic, hand-wind or hand-wind skeleton
* Man-size automatic, with various calendar and 24-hour/day-night display options
* Hand-wind, rectangular form-movement with open heart

ST16 – Miyota-style simplified construction with Seiko-style auto-winding. Many calendar and 24-hour display options available.

ST17 – Upgraded ST16 with even more options including jump-hour, big date and power-reserve. Skeleton versions, both automatic and hand-winding.

ST18 – Premium ETA/Eterna-style movement; fast-beat, automatic, day/date. Possibly superseded by ST24?

ST19 – Hand-winding chronograph developed from Venus 175. Seven different variants being produced:

* ST1901: 2 register, small seconds at 9, 30 min counter at 3
* ST1902: 3 register, small seconds at 9, 30 min counter at 3, 12 h register at 6 that mirrors the time-keeping hour hand
* ST1903: 3 register, small seconds at 9, 30 min counter at 3, 24 h register at 6 that is not affiliated with the chronograph function
* ST1904: unused model number, possibly being reserved for an automatic winding or true 3 register chronograph version
* ST1905: 2 register, small seconds at 9, 30 min counter at 3, decentral power reserve at 4:30
* ST1906: 2 register, small seconds at 9, 30 min counter at 3, decentral power reserve at 6
* ST1907: 2 register, small seconds at 9, 30 min counter at 3, central power reserve indicator
* ST1908: 4 register, small seconds at 9, 30 min counter at 3, date at 12, real moon phase at 6

ST22 – A pair of small ST6 automatics on a common dial plate. Open-heart and big-date options.

ST24 – Clone of ETA 2428-2

ST25 – Premium movement with double-bridged balance for open-heart. Various calendar options.

ST26 – Clone of ETA 2892

ST28 – AS1475-style hand-winding alarm.

ST36 – Unitas-style 36mm pocket-watch movement, hand-winding with subsidiary seconds. Skeleton version with unusual bar-type bridges.

ST80 – Blancpain-style flying caroussel-tourbillon. Various calendar and power-reserve options. Hand-winding or automatic. Skeleton version is hand-wind only, no options.

ST82 – Tourbillon with large-diameter balance on common axis with carriage. Hand-winding or automatic. 'Flying' or bridged tourbillon.

ST8080 – Hand-winding dual tourbillon; caroussel and common axis.

ST9000 – Hand-winding quarter-repeater. Minute-repeater not yet in production.

Calibre unknown – Perpetual calendar, not yet in production.

A rather good comparison of the Sea-Gull ST24 (ETA 2824 clone) and a ST26 (ETA 2892 clone) movements can be found on the TZ-UK forum:

@ Col....I have read that ST comparison at TZ UK, it is very good and in depth. There is also a comparison review at WUS too. Good info, thanks for adding to the list.

If anyone needs to inquire at usseagull.com for any movements, just ask Kevin there.

Guys

Very informative. It would appear that getting movements is relativly hard. There is a guy in country NSW call Dan he uses the ST2130 extensively in his watches.

I bought a ST2130 and the much rarer ST2100 - the 2836-2 version.

he is contactable: admin edit: not an approved seller. hk

He is one of the few white guys who deals direct with the factory.

He also has, at best, a dubious record, when it comes to supplying, what he says.
I still have, in my watch box, undeniable proof, that this guy is a liar.
Was sold a "going" watch, and requested a photo. The hands were at 12/2 in the photo, when it arrived, broken beyond repair, the hands were still at 12/2!
He blamed the Post Office, and refused to deal/compensate.
Every time I look at that watch in my box, I remember foxint!
post reported.
Offshore.
Apologies for going OT here, but I won't see pricks like this get a leg up, without putting both sides of the coin!

I am a devote Cathoic - so I say turn the other cheek and bury the hatchet. Next time I speak wiht him I will ask him about Mr offshore.

Still I am very excited about his stuff....So if anyone wants to know email me or Pm. Email is good

Treefrog: sorry, the guy is an asshat. OS is right.

Watt: not easy mate, PM offshore and ask but don't hold your breath. Install is easy, mail it to me or OS. Either of us can do that.

Does the ST25 come as a 21j / 23j ?

Since this is the premium I was led to believe a 23j version was used in some of the power reserves

From what i've read..>>>

The St-25 alone is a 25 j config, but adding the wind indicator module adds another 10 jewels, and it's then called an ST25-30, as found in the rep Panny 090...IMO, this movement is the nicest finished and designed of all the Asian stuff available except the ST-19 chrono....
