Sea Dweller Decision

Hi all, just looking for some opinions as I choose between 2 versions of Sea Dweller to purchase.. I keep going back and forth on which one to buy, and just looking for any opinions or comments on which one you would choose.. Also any discussion on pro's & cons, I know each version has pros and cons which makes it a tough choice.. Also, for the most part I do not plan on modding the watch. Appreciate any input and discussion...

The 2 models I am deciding between is:

Sea-Dweller 2017 Baselworld 126600 904L SS V3 ARF 1:1 Best Edition Black dial On 904L SS Bracelet A2824 V3

Sea-Dweller 2017 Baselworld 126600 Noob 1:1 Best Edition 904L Steel Black Dial on SS Bracelet A2836 V10

Thanks in advance

2836 is a no brainer for me ....

Great movement , plus if you have problems you can swap it for a real ETA or Sellita

From everything I've read, either moment should server to well and repairs/replacements won't be a problem either way, should it be needed. The 2824 is a slimmer movement and the stem and tube are in a different position in the case compared to the 2836. So if you ever need/intend to swap movements, it'll need to be a like for like, but both are available in abundance.

Movement aside, both reps are good. I was in your position a few weeks back, and I went with the ARF. The crown guards are way too fat (unlike the Noob), but otherwise a pretty damn good mimic of the real deal. And unlike other reps I have/have had, all the edges on this (band, clasp, etc.) are nice and smooth with no sharp edges. The Noob has its pros and cons, too. I'm very happy with my choice.

Have you read this post? It's a really good comparison between the two.

Alternatively, the SD4000 is a good option, and this rep looks amazing: https://puretimewatch.io/sea-dwelle...ition-black-dial-on-ss-bracelet-a2824-v8.html

Thanks for the info!

I may consider the SD4000, after thinking about it, I do not have a 40mm watch in my collection, most I have are 41-43 range, might be a nice change up... Had not even thought about the SD4000 before, wonder if its super thick looking at 40 x 15 though?

SD4000 is great, I'm a big fan of it. Some of the extra thickness is the protruding caseback which your wrist will absorb. With the thinner lugs it looks smaller than a ceramic sub on the wrist.

SD4000 sits nicely on the wrist. They're both awesome looking watches and if your wrist wears one well, in my opinion it'll wear the other just as well.

I have the noob sd43. It is impressive. I did the comparison when buying and I chose the noob because the 2836 has instant date change. The dial is more accurate ie marker shape and colour, red text colour, dial matt dial colour. The bezel is more accurate ie depth of numbers platinum filled, arf are deeper because the paint wears off. Bezel teeth arent as sharp. Either is good but for me those things were more important than the bracelet

Anyone know if the sd4k v8 is actually still available? I've heard mixed stories from three trusted dealers, not sure I want to put down cash only to be told the factory doesn't make them anymore.

Salut, je me dirigerai également sur le 2836, modèle "presque" indestructible avec des pièces facilement trouvable, n'importe quel horloger peut vous faire la maintenance.
