I;m not having much luck with reps lately.. BCE dead on arrival when i got it.. yesterday i noticed my bentley chrono T (chrono functions) are dead.. the second hand doesnt move but the minute counter does, and it doesnt wind automaticly anymore.. Very strange..

NOW my Pam127 stopped. i turned it over and looked into the clear caseback only to find TWO of the blue screws on the decorated asian movement came out and were jammed in the balance wheel. WTF is with this pam.. had it for 2 weeks and the crystal exploded. It sat for 3 months.. i fixed it.. worn it prob 5 days total and now the movement is falling apart?

I opened it up and carefull reinstalled the screws and checked all the others. Greesed the gasket and reinstalled the caseback.. Stupid thing better work for at least 2 weeks before something else breaks on it. yeesh. Im really trying to give these asian copy movements a fair chance but its tough when EVERY one i get falls apart prematurely

oh well.. wadda ya gunna do eh?

Thats the first time I have heard of something like that happening but thats what happens when its made in china and not in Switzerland. Good thing it didnt mess up the balance wheel!

I just opened my new 187 and found the plastic holder around the movement, my question is are there reps without it? I have a design concept which replaces the plastic with a thick rubber gasket. The idea is to use the rubber gasket as a shock absorber, a additional seal near the crown interior. Create your own quality standards.

The quality control of these reps are dubious, we have a good network of information , but from my experience with Chinese manufacturing the quality control is out the window.A lot of factories have in China have illegal counterfeiting rooms, my co-workers have seen it first hand, you have one eye on the watch and the other over your shoulder.
