Screw mimicking Spring Bars... great but not for bracelets

Ive seen these mentioned here and there, I know this isnt news, but I dont think they have been given the credit they deserve

I was having some trouble with a crossed lug thread and was churning through screws like crazy so I ordered a set from Panatime - http://www.panatime.com/22respbareyo.html

In one simple swap out all my lug problems were over and the anxiety I had about damaging my pride and joy was gone.

One problem being the main bar is a large diameter - too big to fit a bracelet hole. I know bracelet PAMs aren't hugely popular (I still dont know why), but I need my blingy option.

Im planning on drilling out the holes in my bracelet - scary but without doing it Im stuck with trying to work with the crossed lug thread whenever I want to dress up my 196...

Anyone done this?

Yup, they are not really designed for bracelets. Good luck with the boring operation!
BTW, Watchbitz has these as well and cheaper than Panatime. Drop Offshore a PM and he can send a pair in an envelope for three or four bucks postage.

Lume, a set of oilers and something to use as binder. I use Floquil brand hobby clear*. It's a very high quality clear and does a good job. Make sure it's the Floquil one and NOT the PolyS by the same company as it's a water base. Get some of the genuine reducer to use with it as well as you will need to thin it out a bit.

* Floquil is now owned by Revel and is a model railroad product and is a higher quality than the common model paints. They have several other colours useful to us as well.
