While putting my watch away last night I noticed a tiny scratch on the crystal :(
Its a noob PAM111.
Any advice as to what I should do now? Making me wonder if the replica crystal is somehow weaker than normal?
If I try polish it out, will I remove the AR?

Notice the tiny spot under the 'E' (ignore the line on the left - must be a reflection)- excuse the quality (my phone didnt like macro)

Unless double AR, the AR should be on the inside of the crystal.

It can be polished out using diamond paste, "IF" you are an experienced polisher!

If not, take a look at Panatime.
There are several sellers on EvilBay as well, But Know Nothing about their Quality.

Although this no doubt irks you, these are tool watches. To be used. With use, comes dings!

You would seem to be very careful with it. I mean, a protector for a pic? LOL!!!

Thanks,
That's what I was hoping to hear. I might try some diamond paste on an old watch first.

I always clean my watches after wearing before putting them away (hence the protector), lol.

I have a sapphire gen with double AR and smacked that into a glass door knob, I thought I would have chipped or scratched it, but no damage. I have a feeling it is the quality of the coating leading to issues with aftermarket AR

The crystal material is extreemly hard. Several times I have bumped mine, both Rep's and Gen's and thought there would have to be dammage, but nope!

A few times, what looked like a scratch, actually was something that had adhered to the surface of the crystal. Did you try a good glass cleaner?

Most rep's are not double sided. NO AR on the surface to scratch. So give a good cleaning a try!

I once had what I thought was a chip, that I tried to remove, but it wouldn't budge. I took, it to my shop and polished the surface with golden glow buffing compound. It removed the imperfection.
Turned out that a small piece of something has virtually welded itself to the crystal. The Golden Glow will not touch a Sapphire crystal at all. Too darned hard, so no danger to the crystal. (golden glow) is for final polish on high Karat Gold, and platinum).
