Thought I'd share my method of reducing your scratches on your watch case when changing strap screws:
First, get a good screwdriver, a 160 for your case screws is an exact fit (this alone makes your success rate climb), if you change buckles alot, thats a 140 . I use the Bergeon.
Second, from a 3 mil (thou) hard plastic, I cut it into 10X20mm size then use my awl and punch a hole in the center to the screw diameter. Then I sand flush the ridge left over from the punch hole.
Third, place the screw into the case and the protective plastic piece over the screw and your done.
This has worked well for me. Hope you find it useful.
