SCAMMER on the gen forums pretending to be a well respected trader

I put up a WTB ad for a Omega Speedmaster Pro and a Breitling Aerospace on TZ, WUS, and PMWF this weekend.

I recieved an email from [email protected] "Mark Tannennbaum" about an Aerospace at a great price located in the UK. I always google peoples names and emails to check if anyone else has had problems with them. Mark comes up as a VERY well respected trader across all of the forums and eBay. I noticed though that his email in other sales threads as well as his location (USA) did not match this new guy. Then I found a thread that the real Mark had posted regarding this scammer from the UK impersonating him. Even the "drster" copies his usernames on the forums.

Glad I caught it, but wish the sale would have been real!

Keep an eye out if you are doing any trading on the gen forums...

Yeah... A WTB ad can attract scammers.
I've dealt with the real drster before. While the deal went smooth, I'll never trade with him ever again. He's pretty much equivalent to a greedy used car sales man imo.

@philly care to expand on why you wouldn't trade with him again? I see him on the gen forums all the time.

He's a trust worthy dealer I just rather deal with a trusted member or a different dealer now.

Traded my MKII for a Sinn U1 and he pretty much low balled me for it. I didn't care much for it at the time cause I didn't have as many references on the gen forums as I do now but it left a sour taste in my mouth after the deal.


I've dealt with jacek a few times now. Traded a polar explorer II for a 1675 and he definitely gave me a fair deal. Since jacek depends on watch conventions to buy his inventory, he doesn't low ball trade ins.

Yes and they do this for a living similar to a used car salesman. With respect to them, they are respected.

I only deal with DavidSW and Oscar. Most the others are wayyyy to expensive.

DavidSW is by the best, he pays the most for trades and is super easy to deal with.
