Scam attempt by RWG member

I hate to post this but be warned.
I posted a Rolex 24-603-0 crown for sale on Ebay and got a seller to pay the usual $24.00 for it. I bought it originally from jewelerstools and have no need for it since I already have a complete 16200 case with the crown included from roling.

The SOB emails meand says the crwon is fake, now Im no trickster, but I feel I am being duped and was targeted by select elite douches at RWG. How do I know this? In his Email to me he quoted that I was the hack watchbuff from RWG and made some serious threats on a level where Federally he was looking at a knock on the door from authorities. I offered him a refund and he said thats still not fair enough and he is going to hold on to it. WTF? This happened over a week ago and I just started to absorb what transpired.Im not shocked, a scam is a scam and I have a record of being honest and up-front with people.
Here is the first part of his rant:

Okay, so I looked at your pictures. The only crown that fits a 16200
case is a 24-603-0. PERIOD. I don't care what you say. The crown is
a FAKE and is definitely not a 24-603-0

Then he digs the hole deeper, revealing the mystery:

The only way you would be able to fit that crown in a 16200 case is is
you filed out the case tube! Sounds like a watchbuff job.

And the deal sealer::

Karma will get you. You better hope you don't get shot out of the sky
or crash your gay helicopter.

Threats against civil aircraft as part of thne ICAO Aviation security act will be investigated and prosecuted. I take this seriously.
There is more but I do not care to post the rant and rave of an idiot who uses the term "dude" when trying to mak a point.

For $25.00 I do not need the aggravation. I am in the process of finding his RWG name and I already have his name and addy.

Just a warning, once again to both buyers and sellers on Ebay....the scammers come in all forms from both sides of the fence.

I have MANY usernames in RWG to go along with my many IP's and have seen grumblings but nothing worth noting unless anyone else has caught something I missed. I really dont get over there much since the content and tone is holier than thou as they theink they are untouchable. They are wrong. They could be shut down with a call and the click of the mouse.
My kinder side just wont pull the trigger since I love to partake here in the same fashion. Not wanting to be a hypocrite. So thats my rant.

$25.oo is the going rate for a 24 series crown I think I sold mine for $22.00 + 6.00 shipping to Canada with all the shipping bells n whistles

Once again, it is up to members here to use due diligence and common sense. If you must deal with members, be certain you are dealing with someone who has a good reputation. On the other hand, any douchbagge who makes threats ove 25 clams is a loser, worthless and weak, f*ck-em.

I guess someone has it out for you. Why they picked a crown to do it over I don't know. If you have proof that the article delivered was the right thing then there's no problem.

One thing I took note of. I like you but I have to ask this.

I hope you didn't really take that as a threat. I really would hate to see my tax dollars wasted because you were overreacting. It's just typical diharrhea of the mouth. There's always posturing that occurs in most confrontations. Even you were just talking about how you could destroy a forum with a mouse click.

the reality is, the tax dollars would allow for such an investigation. Would I have done it , yes if the threats continued along those lines. He was warned, he smartened up and have not heard from him. I also have not seen any posts at rag, then again I visit only occasionally. If the jerk pushed it, the whole rwg family would have been informed of such and subsequently more would have been done. I stand by my good rep and I sure don't need his$25.00. So he can fuck off, which he has apparantly done. I looked at his ebay history and apparantly he buinding a Franken and trying to get the most out of his $. Thanks for your sentiments here guys.

Watchbuff, why on earth would someone be compelled to do this? Am I misunderstanding this? There was a "RWI & RWC" cleanse yourself post about having multiple user names a while back from D4Me. You need to fix this buddy, I don't think it's right, we all know and love watchbuff and trust watchbuff and that is the person you should be, period. Help me understand or tell me this a misunderstanding.

In regards to his threat, I would also be inclined to have a case of Red A S S over that because it has nothing to do with watches nor the transactions. Your venting is understandable and I hope it goes no further than that. I hope you find this guy and let him know on RWG that he needs to appologize for the threat and how serious you took it as a pilot. As fakie mentioned that might be as far as it should go.

As for multiple IP's I use several computers and maintain 4 email addresses, When I bad mouthed Ziggy the knives came out and I was cut from the forum when I defended myself. I'm not anyones whipping boy nor do I kiss anyones ass.

I re- registered on RWG to just keep up on the threads I was following there, as well as the member sales section. I have not intimidated anyone or engaged any moron over there in any battle of wits. I just watch, and lurk. When I first left I saw some posts regarding me and with delicate candor I made a few comments here and there. They have there own problems believe me. I first continued to defend myself getting each user name bounced, it must have happened 3 or 4 times. If you use a proxy server and register and create a new email, it's easy. I also have a program that hides my IP and I MUST use that when working offsite when our location must me kept discrete.

As for here, I LOVE you guys. Only one watchbuff here, I found a home.

Again, we all know and love watchbuff. I appreciate your explaination. I also know you shouldn't be burdened with what others say about you. If you blasted somebody and they couldn't accept you for who you are you go away and don't look back. If you want a fresh start under one other name, that's ok in my book as long as it isn't a habit. Heck who knows, I might piss someone off and have to do the same. :wink:

BEcause they knew that over at RWG also.My Helicopter sig is a dead giveaway, even for the most novice detective. Besides I had a thread over there that had some spectacular photos of NYC and other places I have been from the aircraft I have been in.

If he is here, let him chime in, but a punk won't. Considering the nature of his threats and the consequences that he could face. No one wants that problem. I let it go. I assume he has done the same.
